It's amazing how small things can distract and disrupt. What should be a quiet afternoon of homework becomes a whirlwind of little things that need doing, from cleaning up the room to managing retirement accounts (yes, I do have one, and I do manage it, with advice from my father). Fun things become deadly traps; magazines, movies, and even (heaven forbid) music all conspire together evilly to mire me away from my homework. And yet, despite these myriad forces of evil, this time I triumph. The homework gets done. This time.
